Teaching Assistant
PART TIME
SALARY: GRADE 2, SCP 2
‘Developing Responsible Citizens, Confident Individuals and Independent Learners’
Required as soon as possible, we are looking for a Teaching Assistant with good communication and written language skills to support the learning of children across the school.
You will be working 15.66 hours per week, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays – 1.00pm – 3.20pm, and Wednesdays 8.30-3.20pm, 38 weeks per year. (Wednesdays will include a 30-minute lunch)
The salary will be £8,354. This is a Fixed Term post ending 31st August 2026 with the potential to be made permanent.
You will work with a team of class teachers and other Teaching Assistants to ensure all children are able to make the most of their learning opportunities, being flexible and creative while building on children’s interests.
Each day you will be required to supervise a 30-minute lunchtime duty and run small group interventions in support of core subject learning. You will also support pupils within class-based core subject lessons on occasion.
This post would suit applicants who have experience in an educational setting, however this is not essential.
A GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in both Maths and English is essential.
